Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of the Onalani website and any reservation you make through it. By booking a stay you agree to the terms below together with the cancellation policy you select at checkout.
Last updated January 1, 2026
Booking a stay
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to make a reservation.
- A reservation is confirmed only once payment is authorized and you receive a confirmation code.
- The guest count you book must match the guests who actually stay. Exceeding the stated occupancy may end the stay without a refund.
- Rates shown include the nightly rate, applicable fees, and taxes. Onalani does not charge a platform fee on direct bookings.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Depending on how far in advance you book, your reservation may be split into an initial payment and a balance due before check-in. Failure to pay a balance by its due date may result in the reservation being cancelled under the policy you selected.
Cancellations, changes, and refunds
Every reservation is booked under one of three cancellation tiers, selected by you at checkout. Refunds and travel credits follow the tier attached to your booking. Full details are on the cancellation policy page.
Change requests are not guaranteed. Where a change is approved, any difference in rate for the new dates is payable by you.
Travel credits
- Credits are issued in the currency of the original booking and can be applied to a future Onalani stay.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
- Recovery-based credits are issued only once the cancelled dates are rebooked by another guest.
- Credits expire on the date shown in your account. Expired credits cannot be reinstated.
House rules and guest conduct
- Check-in and check-out times, quiet hours, and smoking rules are listed on each property page and must be followed.
- Parties and events are not permitted unless expressly approved in writing.
- You are responsible for damage caused by you or your guests beyond normal wear and tear.
- Serious breaches may end the stay immediately without a refund.
Reviews and content
Reviews must reflect a genuine stay and must not contain unlawful, abusive, or misleading content. We may remove content that breaches these terms. By posting content you grant Onalani a licence to display it on the site.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Onalani is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your stay or your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your reservation are the ones in force on the date you booked. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
